Mikki Ruiz, MWS, LCSW
Indiana Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over fifteen years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families across a variety of settings, including residential care, private practice, and schools. I hold a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Indiana University.
I am passionate about helping individuals navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My work is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based practices, and I strive to create affirming, inclusive, and neurodiversity-informed spaces where clients feel safe, seen, and supported.
My therapeutic approach is informed by modalities such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Play Therapy, AutPlay, and Solution-Focused. I believe healing begins in environments where people can express themselves freely and develop the tools they need to thrive.
I am committed to lifelong learning and am expanding my training to include Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to better support the diverse needs of my clients.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy reading, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and traveling whenever I can. Most of all, I love spending time with my husband and three children, who continually inspire and ground me.

• Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
• Play Therapy (in progress – Registered Play Therapist)
