The Samaritan Center holds a very special place in my heart. This organization mirrors my own values and beliefs. The goals of the Samaritan Center are goals that I share.

I believe in the mind/body connection and understand how an imbalance between them causes distress and mental health issues. Healing for people occurs when we are able to re-establish the balance between mind and body. This re-balance restores an individual’s mental health and wellness.

I am passionate about my therapeutic work with clients, and I strive to work with each client in the ways that best support their healing. It is an honor and privilege to work with clients in their journey toward health and healing and achieving balance in their lives.

I have been a practicing social worker for 40 years. My early career was in teaching special education with elementary aged children and as a school social worker for a number of years. Since 1987, my practice has expanded from working exclusively with children and adolescents to adults. Working with trauma is the primary focus of my practice. I have particular expertise with PTSD, sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. I have expertise in the area of domestic violence working with both survivors and perpetrators.

I continue to grow and develop through various training, workshops, conferences and ongoing supervision as well as with the collaboration of my colleagues. I enjoy using EMDR, DBT, IFS, CBT, Cognitive processing, and somatic psychology along with life skills to help people achieve balance physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
