Kristy Turner, LCSW

Kristy

I have been with the Samaritan Center for the past eight years, bringing over 15 years of experience as a licensed therapist.

I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Aurora University in 2003. My professional background spans both educational and clinical settings, including work as a behavior consultant in school systems and providing individual and group therapy in clinical environments.

I have a passion for working with teens and young adults and currently facilitate both process and DBT skills groups. My therapeutic approach is grounded in a strengths-based perspective, with a focus on positive behavior reinforcement strategies.

I also integrate CBT, DBT and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) into my practice, offering clients evidence-based tools to support healing and long-term growth.
